As part of a number of Manual Handling lifting issues identified by our customers, Altec implemented a rated dirt mat that is now available across Australia. The mats conform to AS 3668-1989 and have a safe working load of 1350kg. The size of this mat is 2400mm x 2400mm (8’ x8’) and made from heavy duty 24oz vinyl material and strengthened with 50mm heavy duty webbing. They act as a sling when attached to winches and make the transport of dirt, rock and other materials, safe, simple, time efficient and cost effective. The mat can also be used as a blanket for tools and other items, keeping these items clean, localised and ready for use. Most importantly the mat reduces injuries by eliminating the demanding forces associated with physical labour and repetitive movements.
