As the world pulls together to fight the current battle that is facing all of humanity, we would like to reassure you that we are doing everything we can to keep our associates safe while supporting the businesses that keep Australia running.

“I want to personally thank each of you for all the incredible work that’s taking place throughout Team Altec as we navigate this unprecedented global pandemic.

It’s incredible to watch the power of Team Altec leverage best practices throughout all of our locations to focus on job one at Altec, the safety of our associates and customers. That has always been and will always be job one at Altec.

As we have throughout our 91-year history, we’ve addressed and overcome all kinds of challenges, wars, economic recessions and economic downturns. We always prevail thanks to the power of Team Altec and the great history and culture that we’ve developed through Altec values. Once again, we will prevail thanks to the power of Team Altec and the individual leadership that each of you exemplifies.

In keeping with our history, values and the tradition of associate safety and customer satisfaction, I’m confident that the best is yet to come for Team Altec. So once again, thank you for all you do day in and day out to make Team Altec such a special place as we navigate these unprecedented times.

As we continue to work through the coronavirus event, we want each of you to know that nothing is more important to us than the safety and well being of our associates and your families. Each of you should know that we are taking all of the necessary steps to ensure safe environments throughout our system. Altec has a management task force team monitoring the situation on a minute-by-minute basis and they are tracking information being shared by public health agencies along with the best practices being shared among our suppliers, customers and peer manufacturers.

We recognize the hardships that these circumstances have created for everyone. Many Altec associates have been asked to work remotely in response to the recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control to help slow the spread of COVID-19. We understand that some of you may have a sense of isolation as public health officials ask that we distance ourselves from others. While you work remotely in continued support of our customers, we encourage you to stay connected with Altec teammates and co-workers as well as your loved ones. Other associates, due to your roles and responsibilities, have been asked to continue to work on-site which has allowed us to keep our operations running to continue to serve our customers. In many instances, you have been asked to flex hours, adjust your work conditions and maintain social distancing. Again, all of this is being asked of you in an effort to minimize the spread of the virus. We greatly appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding as we continue to implement these recommended guidelines to keep associates safe.

Altec will continue to monitor this ever-changing situation and we thank you — our dedicated team members — for your vigilance and your efforts to keep yourselves and those around you safe. In addition, we deeply appreciate your on-going commitment to serve and support our customers, for whom the livelihoods of all of us depend.
